City within city - from a sleeping area to the largest neighborhood

A city within a city - this is how the district in the northern part of Tbilisi, with a population of 200,000, is called today. Gldani includes 10 microdistricts and several settlements. Its nickname is quite fair, because you can reach everything without leaving this district. The Gldani district (founded in 1979) is served by two metro stations - Akhmeteli and Sarajishvili.

Today, the district is one of the most sought-after, with thousands of apartments sold in it this year. The price of real estate is approaching the cost of central districts.

Construction of the Gldani estate, 1981

Gldani was not always so popular. Its history begins in 1968, when the city's communist authorities commissioned the young architect Temur Bochorishvili to prepare a project for the district. After Moscow approved the experimental project, construction began in 1969. Since 1971, new residents have begun moving into the first buildings.

At that time, new estates were being built en masse in the suburbs, which were referred to as sleeping areas. However, it should be noted that Gldani was originally planned - around a 2.5-kilometer public line into odd and even microdistricts. In the middle part, shopping and public facilities were arranged.

The popularity of the district today is due to its well-developed infrastructure. It is comfortable for all social groups. The idea of impractical living in the suburbs is a thing of the past.

Alpha-Gldani, near M/S Sarajishvili

"Everyone has their own roof" - this is the message of the construction company "Alpha Home", which offers a large-scale project in Gldani, near M/S Sarajishvili. The minimum area is from 27 sq.m., and the price per square meter is from 795! The project, consisting of two 26-storey buildings, will be the tallest in Gldani after completion! Time is short, take advantage of the chance to have your "own roof"!
